INTERCOM UNDER REPAIR FOR OVER 1 MONTH
UPDATE: The system was finally repaired March 31 2017
For over one month now, the tenants of Tantus Towers have been without the basic amenity of having an Intercom and the ability to communicate with visitors at the front door and buzzing them in. Instead, our guests arriving must have a cell phone to call when they arrive at the front door and then the tenant has to leave their apartment and go down to the lobby to physically open the doors to let their quests in.
This is pure BS! There is no valid reason as to why our Intercom System should be under repair for over one month other than (once again) complete incompetence of building management combined with a “We don’t Give a damn” attitude towards the tenants.
When asked why this issue hasn’t been resolved we have been told that it’s a problem between Telus and the Buzzer installation company to “We Didn’t know that it was linked to the phones” … really LOL!
This is a major inconvenience to tenants and Capreit’s due diligence mandates offering a formal written apology along with a written explanation of the problem and a resolution timeline; building management has done neither.
Management should also be offering a rent reduction on next month’s rent and for each month the problem continues, to all of us in Tantus Tower as compensation for this continuing problem… yet we all know that is highly unlikely. But we all know they will stick us with another rent increase in the fall!
Time to file a complaint with the
